Chip Walters
Executive Director/Founder

Chip Walters is the Founder and Executive Director of Sidewalk Hope. After 29 years as an educator at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, she was called to serve children living in underserved areas of the Spartanburg community. She began her vision by serving in a local children’s ministry and soon moved to establish Sidewalk Hope ~ a mobile children’s ministry dedicated to bringing hope, encouragement, and practical support directly into inner-city neighborhoods. Chip leads the organization with compassion, clarity of purpose, and a deep commitment to the community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education and a Master’s degree in Comprehensive Special Education.

Linda Coon
Development Director 

Linda Coon serves as Director of Operations for Sidewalk Hope and is often referred to as “the business end” of the ministry. With 23 years in the business world and 22 years as an educator and educational administrator, she brings a rare blend of leadership, organization, and compassion to her role. Linda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, principal certifications at both the elementary and high school levels, and a Master’s degree in Business with a nonprofit emphasis. Her diverse background allows her to strengthen the infrastructure of Sidewalk Hope while supporting its heart for children and families.

Terolyn Bell
Volunteer & Event Coordinator

Terolyn Bell is the Volunteer & Site Event Coordinator for Sidewalk Hope. She comes with nearly 20 years of experience working in both the business and volunteer sectors. She boldly gives all glory to God and proclaims her skills and credentials are a beautiful example of God’s intentional working in every detail that prepared her to serve in this ministry. Terolyn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science & Technology from Clemson University. Her life motto is, “If I can help somebody as I travel along, then my living shall not be in vain.”
